The Koksovaya Plant joins TopProm Holding
On April 19, 2013 the Koksovaya Coal Preparation Plant joined TopProm Holding through transaction with SDS-Coal. The final transfer of ownership is scheduled for June 1, 2013.
The Koksovaya Plant is one of the oldest coal washeries in Kuzbass. Its capacity is 2 million tons of clean coal per year. In 2011 it celebrated its 65th anniversary. At that period, the previous owner was carrying out the Plant upgrade with the investment amount of 328 million rubles. The Plant modernization involved incorporation of new coal washing technologies, improvement of working conditions and a series of environmental safety measures. Consequently, today Koksovaya Plant, despite its age, is a high-technology modern enterprise with big potential.
The Koksovaya Plant will become the third washery in the structure of TopProm Holding. The acqisition of this Plant contributes to TopProm’s plans of expanding production capacity and marketing development.
