On the 28^th of March in the Novokuznetsk city administration there was held a conference on “The situation in the city’s industry. Investment projects development”. To estimate the existing situation, to manage priorities, to work persistently to create a congenial investment climate – these were the tasks defined by the city mayor. In the discussion of the vital problems took part fourteen reporters, among which were the executives of the city administration, the leading large and mid-size business enterprises and the educational institutions.

The directors of the largest companies – Evraz ZSMK, TopProm Holding, Novokuznetsky railway car building works, Sibshakhtostroy – delivered their reports on the investment activity at their enterprises. TopProm Holding Executive Director Andrey Mikhaylovich Borshchevich in his speech indicated forecasts and prospects of the coking coal market in Russia and throughout the world, which would be connected with premium washed coal sales. He also emphasized that the Holding investment activity would be directed to replacement of the obsolete equipment for hi-tech one. Besides, special attention would be paid to energy efficiency of the production processes, as well as to assimilation of new technologies.
