To remember
On May 24, the Yubileynaya mine hosted an event, dedicated to the 11th anniversary of the accident which claimed lives of 38 people.
The director of the mine – Konstantin Zelentsov – opened the Remembrance Day with a speech, thanking the relatives of the deceased for the bravery and strength they’ve been showing up to the present day. Flowers were laid at the Monument, erected in memory of the victims.
Among those who attended the event were the representatives of Yuzhkuzbassugol, the mine employees, and Mikhail Shutov – the chairman of the Novokuznetsk branch of the Union of Russian Miners.
In honor of the deceased a minute of silence was held.
