Chess popularization: TopProm awarded for contribution

The Legislative Assembly of Kuzbass awarded Vladimir Chestneyshin, General Director of TopProm JSC, for supporting the chess players of the region. The letter of thanks was presented by Elena Pakhomova, Deputy Governor of Kuzbass for Education and Science, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Kuzbass Chess Federation.

Last year, Kuzbass hosted 89 regional and all-Russian competitions with over 8,000 contestants. TopProm is one of the regular sponsors of the Kuzbass Chess Federation. We supported the Russian Rapid Chess Grand Prix, sessions of the Sibirsky Grandmaster Center, the chess championship of the Siberian Federal District and other events organized by the Federation. In 2019, TopProm helped to prepare and send the junior teams of the region to the Russian Chess Championship held in the city of Sochi.

“We support young players,” says Vladimir Chestneyshin, General Director of TopProm Holding. – Chess develops logic and trains memory, which may help children unlock their talents in such areas as, for example, science or IT technologies.

Meanwhile, in 2020, our employees will also have a chance to compete for the title of champion. From September 4 to 7, Novokuznetsk will host the first World Chess Championship among coal mining workers.
