Future prospects

On the 28th of April 2017 TopProm JSC and Kuzbass Sorbents LLC signed an agreement of intent regarding development of a sorbent production project.

The project suggests elaborating the technological capabilities of Kuzbass Sorbents, as well as developing a project of sorbent production with a capacity of 3 thousand tonnes (currently the capacity of the production line is 60 tons of sorbents per year), for which TopProm is ready to invest 200 million rubles. The project is supposed to be prepared within several months, as a raw material for this production a wide range of coal grades can be used.

Nikolay Korolev, the Board Chairman of TopProm believes that such production could be accommodated at the TopProm site in Novokuznetsk, where the Shchedrukhinskaya washplant and the Yubileynaya mine are located, the site is provided with energy, water, canalization, its own railway station etc.

Kuzbass counts on sorbents production – they collect gases and harmful substances, including mercury and lead, clean water from impurities. The sphere of their application cover a wide range from the housing and utilities sector and petrochemical industry to military production, aviation and industrial safety.

Such products as sorbents are highly valued in the world market. Today many plants use only imported sorbents, but the domestic analogue will be significantly cheaper. In the long view Kemerovo region will be able to cover the Russian requirement in sorbents and drive the expensive imported analogues out of the market.
