Last weekend, “Kuznetskie Ferrosplavy” held the first charity arena football tournament in Novokuznetsk. The event was attended by the businesses having members in the Kuzbass Council of Employed Youth. The funds collected during the competition will be sent to the regional branch of the Russian Red Cross to support free blood donation and the prevention of tuberculosis among children and teenagers.

The tournament brought together professionals of coal mining, steel and agriculture industries from Novokuznetsk and Kemerovo.

– Sports and charity can work hand in hand, and we, in TopProm, were eager to participate in an event of such kind. We not only fought for the cup, but also donated funds to support the charity programs of the Russian Red Cross, – commented Pavel Chasovskikh, shift foreman in the Yubileynaya mine.

At the end of the day, the coal miners swept the podium. TopProm took bronze, the “Beryozovsky” open-pit was second, and the “Kuzbassrazrezugol” team got the tournament cup.
